You may have seen last night’s Dateline story about the Ohio Lottery’s investigation of dishonest retailers. The Ohio Lottery and its 9,100 retailers statewide have a reputation to protect.
When you are in a customer-focused business people talk – whether that be the customer who comes in every day, the neighbors in the senior center down the street, the server in the restaurant next store or a fellow Ohio Lottery retailer or sales representative. You can expect people to notice bad behavior and react to it. It’s folks like this who let Ohio Lottery officials know that a retailer’s operation may need further scrutiny.
