So, what’s it like to go around the cities of Cleveland and Columbus with Dateline? The Dateline crew, from the producers to the sound and cameraman, were consummate professionals, asking questions about security procedures and general Ohio Lottery operations, knowing when to step back when our investigators had work to do. Prepping equipment, taking notes, labeling tapes — all the leg work that needs to be done to make a Dateline show might not be glamorous, but it’s important work for the final product.
Early last summer, a small team of Dateline producers and technicians came to northeast and central Ohio for the first in a series of retailer visits. Once Ohio Lottery officials determined what retailers needed further investigation, the Dateline team returned with Dateline contributor Chris Hansen to interview these retailers and their employees. He’s knowledgeable about issues of importance to consumers, and knows a thing or two about human nature. He was gracious and kind during his visit, signing autographs and posing for a few pictures with Dateline fans.
Yes, he’s tall and good looking too.
