Last week was pretty exciting here at the Ohio Lottery and every other state that sells Mega Millions. We saw the Mega Millions jackpot roll 18 times building up to a record $640 million! It called for something extra special, and that meant busting out the Mega Millions ball costumes and hitting the town!
That kind of jackpot brings a lot of people out to play for a chance at becoming a multi-millionaire! So the day of the drawing we took the Mega Millions balls out on the road to get everyone pumped up for the drawing.
Five white balls plus the Mega Ball paraded into Ohio Lottery retailers around Northeast Ohio and they stood along busy roads waving to passing cars, generating smiles, giggles and a lot of flash bulbs everywhere they went!
Players posed for photos with the Mega Ball at Emery Food Mart in Warrensville Heights, MK Lottery at Southpark Mall in Strongsville, Gateway News at Tower City in downtown Cleveland and Sappell’s Food Basket in Lakewood.
It was a pretty entertaining day! Between getting the people in and out of the ball costumes and leading them around, we found time to pose for pictures with players and listen to their stories about what they would do if they won.
