A treasured part of Ohio Lottery history

14-At work for Super Lotto debut--Hallie Jones shows photo of her sonIt’s not every day that the Lottery receives a call from a fan offering to provide us with a photo steeped in Ohio Lottery history. Well, that’s what happened when Hallie Jones of Highland Heights called. She had a photo  she said was worthy to share with all Ohioans. The proud mom shared a picture with her son Kenneth Jones (far right) and his co-workers at a local security firm. Their job was to guard a U.S. currency display during the debut of Super Lotto back in February 1986.  It was one of the Ohio Lottery’s earliest in-state lotto game, and it went on sale 29 years ago today.

We’re grateful for her generosity.

Do you have any stories or images surrounding the Lottery’s landmark events? Send us a note. We’d love to hear from you.
