It’s all about the personal touches at 324 N Main Street in Miamisburg. Rod-Dees Carryout owners Jayson and Joe Collins and clerk Jacob Payne make playing more personal by going out of their way to remember their customers’ names. They say helping first time players fill out bet slips and informing them about on-line games is a sure way to get customers back to the store.
Rod-Dees Carryout has been a lottery retailer four years and Jason says they have a strong group of Pick 3 players who don’t mind having a little retailer involvement.
“We get involved in picking numbers with a lottery worksheet and picking five hot Pick 3 numbers weekly. That little bit of time is well spent on the customers and they become our regular daily players,” he said.
Carrying 48 instant games Rod-Dees Carryout will cash every winning ticket when possible. Last February the store sold a winning $3.5 million Classic Lotto ticket. That’s one they couldn’t cash but were thrilled to sell a big winner. Rod-Dees Carryout provides outstanding customer service that fosters a fun and inviting atmosphere. Sales Representative Maria Tharp says they encourage customers to stay and play.
Each week, the Ohio Lottery recognizes one outstanding retail partner who offers courteous service and sales enthusiasm. Retailer-of-the-Week is chosen based on recommendations from the store’s sales representative and regional sales office. Rod-Dees Carryout will be recognized on Cash Explosion® on October 3, 2015.
Montgomery County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WHIO-CBS Channel 7 in Dayton. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 10 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
