Winner Wednesday, Past and Present

With Christmas one week away  and the  New Year  approaching too,  this week’s  Winner Wednesday reflects on the old and the new: Ohio Lottery winners  past, and new ones too!

Heather Graves of  Lorain  set aside a few dollars to play the Ohio Lottery and turned it into a $500,000 win on $500,000 Cashword. She said the win is life changing.  She is paying off her house, buying a car and preparing for her daughter’s future! Congrats, Heather!

263When Blendon Drive Thru in Columbus sold Ohio’s eighth winning Powerball ticket,  the store’s  sales increased. Now Eddy, Mike and the employees are seeing new  faces.  The store is preparing to give the drive thru a face lift by building a walk-in cooler with the $100,000 bonus they received from selling a $202 million winning Powerball ticket.

Kim Rizz0 Thompson won $2,000,000 in the  Top Prize Drawing for the $300 Million Diamond Dazzler game on August 25, 2015. Her original plan was to buy a house that she and her husband Tim  had been looking at.  Kim said the win was a blessing. With her $710,000 after-taxes windfall, she opened a retirement account for herself, bought a niece piece of  jewelry and had a new house built with an in-law suite for her mom.

crittendon Lynda Crittendon won $500,000  in the Top Prize  Platinum Payout drawing on September 25, 2014. The win was a real blessing she said. It allowed her to quit working and take of her son and her two grandsons Justin and Javaun. It also provided Lynda the opportunity concentrate on opening her own business. She opened Involve Mobile.net.

$2 mill winner, Eric 048Eric Baucan of  Garfield  Heights won $2,000,000  on the  Super  Million Spectacular  game last year.  Choosing the annuity  $100,000 for 20 years,  he  took a trip to Florida  where  he decided  to  have a house built.  Eric says he’s preparing for his children’s future. He has custody of his niece and nephew.
