Wellington – The owners of Cherry Express recognize that there is value in listening to their Lottery sales representative. At 704 N. Main Street in Wellington, owners Steve Gamary, Jennifer Smith, and Linisa Armour were already proactive, but received ideas that grew the business even more. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Cherry Express as this week’s Retailer-of-the-Week.
Cherry Express already had an enthusiastic staff and with the help of their sales representative Brandon Antz, this retailer now has a dedicated lottery play area with signage and promotional displays. Linisa says that they’ve been at this location for over a year and the makeover has already grown the business. The team of employees is very knowledgeable. Armour says the customers depend on the staff’s expertise of Lottery games and the staff is always promoting the Lottery, taking the time to explain and answer lottery related questions.
Describing the business as fun and growing, Armour says the growth comes partly because they listened to their representative who had many great ideas. She advises upcoming retailers to do the same. Carrying 46 instant games, Cherry Express has a weekly sales average of $12,073 for on-line and instant games tickets.
Each week, the Ohio Lottery recognizes one outstanding retail partner who offers courteous service and sales enthusiasm. Retailer-of-the-Week is chosen based on recommendations from the store’s sales representative and regional sales office. Cherry Express will be recognized on Cash Explosion® on January 16, 2016.
Lorain and Medina County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WEWS ABC- Channel 5 in Cleveland. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
