Toledo- Doing a good job promoting the Lottery is one of the ways you get to be Retailer-of the Week. Owner Esmat Safi has done just that. His sales representative says store employees put up signs and keep customers informed on all of the latest promotions and games. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Family Pantry II as this week’s Retailer-of-the-Week.
Located at 5925 Heatherdowns Blvd., the business has a special Lottery area and a winners’ board. Since owning the business two years ago, the Pantry has reset the instant display area and it shows the tickets better. Mo Awad, who manages the business, says that having patience, smiling, and being happy are part of the sales enthusiasm. He adds that fixing customers errors is key to the success of the business. Helpful, happy and patience are the words that describe the atmosphere at the Pantry. When the place gets really busy, one employee is assigned to running the Lottery terminal. Awad says it is their job to make it easy for the customer; so, they fix errors, know the games, and keep customers informed.
Sales Representative David Howell says the Pantry carries all games. Employees settle books when sold out. They put up signs, are timely in settling their books and use suggestive selling. Family Pantry II carries 41 instant games and has a weekly sales average of $11,402 for instant and on-line games.
Each week, the Ohio Lottery recognizes one outstanding retail partner who offers courteous service and sales enthusiasm. Retailer-of-the-Week is chosen based on recommendations from the store’s sales representative and regional sales office. Family Pantry II will be recognized on Cash Explosion® on January 30, 2016.
Lucas County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WTVG ABC Channel 13 in Toledo. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations Family Pantry II
