Every month the Ohio Lottery Partners in Education program partners with schools all over Ohio to honor standout students and teachers, and we’re proud to present January’s Academic All-Stars and Teacher of the Month.
Jenna Booher is a stellar student at Milton-Union Middle School. Jenna was nominated based on her perseverance and academic growth. Her teachers say that she is a “joy to have in class”. Congratulations, Jenna!
Hamilton Elementary School has two winners this month. Emily Rucker is a second grade teacher that always has a smile on her face. She is always willing to collaborate and shares her resources. Her nomination stated that she’s not only a great mentor, she is an awesome team leader.
In the same school we have an amazing third grader, Ryan McClintock. He was nominated for his hard work in class and his kindness to his classmates. Ryan has shown much growth this school year and is a great role model to his peers. Congratulations, Ryan!
Jamie Grob of Madeira High School is a scholastic and athletic leader. Jamie has a 3.5 G.P.A all while participating in the band, Spanish Club, varsity basketball, soccer, and softball! She has lead her team to many victories and has obtained a scholarship to Wofford University next year. Congratulations, Jamie!
The Partners in Education program recognizes outstanding K-12 teachers and students for their excellence in the classroom, leadership, creativity and community involvement and dedication. A teacher and student are selected from each of the lottery’s 9 regions each month during the school year.
