Springfield – The staff at Gibson Carry out loves making people happy. Owner Bill McKnight says when you make people happy they play more. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Gibson Carry Out as this week’s Retailer-of-the-Week.
Located at 1815 Columbus Avenue, McKnight has been selling Lottery tickets for 18 years. He knows what it takes to be a successful retailer. Gibson Carry Out is a small carryout in a residential area with honest employees who are knowledgeable about all of the games they sell. The retailer also cashes all winning tickets. The business also carries fishing supplies and recently added a dedicated Lottery area for Keno. There is also a drive-thru area for Lottery players, and McKnight says he also gets a lot of walk-in traffic.
To promote Lottery the carryout hangs winning tickets because they know that players like to see winners in the store where they buy tickets. Keeping an adequate supply of tickets, they sell 65 from over the counter. The business has a weekly sales average of $11,201.
Each week, the Ohio Lottery recognizes one outstanding retail partner who offers courteous service and sales enthusiasm. Retailer-of-the-Week is chosen based on recommendations from the store’s sales representative and regional sales office. Family Pantry II will be recognized on Cash Explosion® on February 6, 2016.
Clark County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WHIO Channel 7 in Dayton. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations Gibson Carry Out !
