LORDSTOWN, OH– A Lottery sign is prominently displayed on a front counter at Lordstown BP at 6565 Todd Avenue. Yasser Alsadi owns the gas station and has been selling Lottery since the day he took over the business, 13 years ago. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize this business as this week’s Retailer-of-the-Week.
Greeting customers by name, Alsadi said his customers are family and his employees will go the extra mile to remember what games customers like to play. Alsadi said always being polite goes a long way and is a key part of his customer service. He also promotes lottery by using a sign that reads, “We sell winners,” and he keeps it up for extended periods so that customers know this is the place to get a winning ticket.
Sales Representative Patty Harrington said that this retailer is willing to do what it takes to increase lottery sales, the employees are extremely nice, and as a result, their sale figures are high. Lordstown BP carries 42 instant games with a weekly sales average of $10,286 for instant and on-line games.
