Cleveland Heights – Having been a Lottery retailer for 24 years, Asad Shah knows what it takes to get those great lottery sales: the value of being nice to the customer. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Coventry Food Market as this week’s Retailer-of-the-Week.
Shah owns the business at 2780 Mayfield Road, and they make sure that they offer great customer service. Emphasis is placed on it. Also having a dedicated lottery area and enough money on hand at all times to cash winning tickets has paid off not only for the winners but also for him as a retailer. Coventry Food Market has a weekly sales average of $18,804 for instant and on-line games.
Having observed customers throughout the years, Shah knows that when you cash a ticket, the lottery customer is more likely to play more. Carrying 71 instant games over the counter and in the Winstation, the customer has a variety in which to choose.
Lottery sales rep Derrick Whitmore says that Coventry Food Market takes pride in the business, they cash all winners, and in spite of the high volume of traffic, the store is kept clean.
Each week, the Ohio Lottery recognizes one outstanding retail partner who offers courteous service and sales enthusiasm. Retailer-of-the-Week is chosen based on recommendations from the store’s sales representative and regional sales office. Coventry Food Market will be recognized on Cash Explosion® on March 26, 2016.
