LYNCHBURG, OH-Outside the door of 1505 US. Rt.50 in Lynchburg is a sign that reads “American owned by Terry & Jane McGinnis and family since 1978.” Terry’s Grocery is America proud and the Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize this retailer as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of April 11, 2016.
Terry and Jane McGinnis have been promoting Lottery sales for 23 years. It’s a family-run business with parents and adult children who know their customers personally.
“We know them on a first name basis and they come back to us because they think we are the lucky spot. When we hire we hire friendly people or locals who know most of our customers. We ask for the sale and keep money on hand to cash all winning tickets,” says Jane.
Jane says always keep money on hand to cash winning tickets. She adds that customers like the free promotional items that the Ohio Lottery gives away. Throughout the years it has help build the business. The store carries 32 instant games, with a weekly sales average of $2,728 for instant and on-line games.
Sales representative Cary Miller said they provide excellent service because employees are trained to be knowledgeable with Lottery games. New instant games are always promptly activated.
Terry’s Grocery will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on April 16. Highland County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WCPO ABC-Channel 9 in Cincinnati. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations Terry’s Grocery!
