MASSILLON – Erie Street Pub owner James Moore has created a fun and relaxed atmosphere in his business. With KENO monitors placed everywhere inside, Moore came to know very quickly that KENO is a major part of his business model. Located at 2700 S. Erie in Massillon, the Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Erie Street Pub as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of May 2, 2016.
It’s everything KENO at the Erie Street Pub. All of the wait staff wears KENO aprons and are a part of the KENO Expert Training Program. The pub has been selling Ohio Lottery products since May 2010 and is one of the top KENO Locations. The staff is friendly and courteous to customers. All promotions are clearly displayed and point of purchase material is very clearly displayed.
Promoting KENO, the staff asks for the sale. There are special in-house promotions with prizes to winners, and the employees stay very organized keeping all point of purchase material up-to-date. All on-line games can be played from every table. Because winning creates a great atmosphere, the business cashes all winning tickets. They know that when customers get paid on a winning ticket, they stay, play and buy more products.
Porter, one of the bartenders, says that KENO is fairly easy to maintain and manage and Moore recommends it to new retailers. Lottery sales representative Steve Perry says Erie Street Pub is among the top KENO locations in the area. Weekly sales for instant and on-line sales are $7,157.
Erie Street Pub will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on May 7. Stark County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WEWS ABC-Channel 5 in Cleveland. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations Erie Street Pub!
