Summer’s most anticipated holiday has arrived! The 4th of July is this weekend, and there are tons of fun things to do around Ohio. Check out any of these awesome events for a fun-filled weekend.
Looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy fireworks? Believe it or not, the best view is on the water. The Goodtime III is having an amazing 4th of July Fireworks Cruise. Or you could climb aboard the historic Steamship William G. Mather for their Rock and Boom celebration.
In southern Ohio, fireworks won’t be the only thing illuminating the sky. Today is the LaRosa’s Balloon Glow in Coney Island, in Cincinnati.You could also go to the Dayton Light in Flight Fireworks starting at 1 p.m with fireworks tonight at 10 p.m.
If you are looking to get your fun started a little earlier, join in on some parade watching. There will be parades all throughout the great state of Ohio, and Central Ohio has some great parades to attend.
Check out Columbus’, Short North’s 31st annual, Doo Dah Parade. The parade begins at 1 p.m. on July 4, while the party is all day (between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.) on Buttles Avenue, between High and Park Streets, with live music, drinks and more. Gahanna’s parade starts at Clark Hall at 10:30 a.m, and the parade in Marysville start at 10 a.m.
