It’s here… hump day! The following players are over the hump and they’ve got a little something refreshing to go with it: money!
Chasity Paul of Urbana won $500,000 in the top prize drawing of the 50 X The Money instant game. Chasity said these kinds of things don’t happen in her family. Guess she’ll have to change that tune because after taxes she receives $355,000. She says it is nice to not worry about things. She’s buying a new car, paying some bills and helping her dad. She bought the ticket in February 2015 at Winners One Stop in Mechanicsburg. This retailer received a $5,000 agent bonus for selling a winning qualifying ticket.
It was a win that was worth the wait for Christopher Belcher of Grove City. He only plays Ohio Lottery instant games. He bought a winning TPD entry ticket on March 30,2015. On June 30, 2016, he became the top prize winner of $1 million on Ohio Millions. He chose the annuity and receives $35,500 a year for the next 20 years after mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 29 percent. He says he is looking at a new car, and his wife Pat will cut back on her full-time work hours, going to part-time. He bought his qualifying ticket from the Kroger Company. He said Pat was in more shock than he was. He says you can’t win if you don’t play .
It’s two thumbs up for Daniel Bach of Hamilton. He won $15,000 on the instant game, $250,000 A Year for Life.
Angela Boggs of Grafton won $5,500, a TPD entry on Break the Bank.
Mike and Erica Coleman of Barboursville, WV crossed the Ohio River and purchased a $5,500 TPD winning ticket from Pump & Shop. The extra money they say will help with their future relocation to Kentucky.
Sam Smith of Perrysburg won $6,217 on EZ Play Perfect Game 300. He played at Fat Jacks, spending only $2. Sam couldn’t believe that he won when the machine blared, Winner ! Winner! He said he thought he broke something. Instead he won the jackpot.
