HICKSVILLE, OH- Located at 200 W. High Street, owner Vijay Victor Sharma has expanded the Lottery footprint inside the store to make customers more aware. Hicksville Shell is a work in progress and the Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Hicksville Shell as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of August 1, 2016.
They are open 24/7, carrying 41 instant games and have been selling Lottery for eight years now. Weekly sales average $3,332 for instant and online games. Now known as a lucky place to purchase tickets, Hicksville Shell treats customers like guests. Sharma says they are continually updating everything in order to increase overall sales. Lottery, he says, is the only product that can make dreams come true.
Laura Kozak, their sales representative has helped with their makeover by hanging additional signs that keep customers informed and excited. Sharma says having the terminal and instant ticket display highly visible and clean in addition to suggestive selling are tools they use. As extra incentive in making a lottery purchase, he tells the customers their purchase is helping Ohio schools.
Kozak says Hicksville Shell was recommended because of their willingness to work with her in order to help increase sales. They have been agreeable to suggestions to expand the lottery footprint because they believe selling lottery is an asset. Asking for the sale is a crucial piece to being a successful lottery agent.
Hicksville Shell will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on August 6, 2016. Defiance County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WTVG ABC Channel 13 in Toledo. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations Hicksville Shell!
