Winner Wednesday is a win-win situation!

It’s Winner Wednesday and turns out, it’s not only a win for lottery players, but it’s a win for lottery retailers like the Patels.

16-lucky-for-life-addie-hawn-presenting-checkDushyantkumer and Nila Patel own Dublo’s Carry Out at 6 Madison Avenue in Norwalk. They have been selling for three years and Monday, Sept.19, turned out to be another lucky day. Dublo’s Carry Out sold a top  prize-winning Lucky for Life ticket. It’s Ohio’s third big winner in this game since Ohio joined the multi-state game in November 2015. The winner receives $1,000 a day for life. The seller (the Patels) receives $57,500, the bonus that goes with selling a top prize-winning ticket. Dee said he was feeling pretty lucky when Lottery officials presented him with his souvenir check the next day.  He had already sold a winning Rolling Cash 5 ticket last week and received a $500 agent bonus for that big winner, but he was a little more excited when he discovered  that this bonus was bigger.  Click here to check out the video of their check presentation!

The Norwalk  Reflector  put him on the front page of  today’s  paper. He also made the paper last week when he sold the $130,000 Rolling Cash 5 ticket.

Nila, his wife, said he is a good retailer because he is always asking for the sale. Dee says he doesn’t like giving change back so he asks his customers  if they want to buy lottery products. Dee says he’s feeling pretty lucky and can’t wait to sell the next big jackpot winning ticket.

Circle K in Carrollton got in on the winning too. They sold a Rolling Cash 5 prize on September 2. That ticket was worth$130,000.

Brian Rosenkranz of Amherst won $107,511 in the September 17, Rolling Cash 5 game. He purchased the winning ticket from Junction Beverage & Dr Thru located at 1111 Milan Avenue in Amherst. The retailer receives a $500 agent bonus for selling top prize-winning Rolling Cash 5 ticket.

Deborah Price of  Norwalk won $10,000 on 50 X the Money. She purchased her winning ticket from C Stop Convenient Store, 2761 St. Rt. 20 in Collins.

John Brickley of Avon won $20,000 on Maximum Fortune. He purchased the winner from Marc’s #69 at 35901 Detroit Avenue in Avon.

Elizabeth Fisher of Sandusky won $10,000 on $1,000,000 Jackpot. She bought her winner at Bellevue Mickey Mart #24 , 1365 E. Moan Street in Bellevue.

Donald Maxwell of Alliance won $50,000 on the 9/16 Powerball game after having four numbers and the Powerball beating the 1 in 913,129 odds.
