Marathon Food Center is December 12, 2016 Retailer-of-the-Week

marathon-rowDAYTON – They have built their lottery business by keeping games current, having knowledge about those games and knowing their customers on a first-name basis. Babulal Patel owns the Marathon Food Center located at 2145 Needmore Road.  The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize him and his business as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of December 12, 2016.

“We stay positive and use suggestive selling, letting our customers know about tickets that have a lot of top prizes remaining. We put up all winner signs, use point of purchase material and occasionally we have second-chance drawings. We have been selling lottery for almost six years and we will cash all winning tickets when possible,” Patel said.

Patel describes his business as a lucky lottery store by keeping it positive when dealing with our lottery players. They make sure lottery boxes are full and they  activate the newest games as soon as possible. The business carries 65 games and has a weekly sales average of $22,128 for instant and on-line games. Sales Representative Mike Bush agrees; Marathon Food Center is pro-lottery. They have the newest games ready for sale always and they will post all winner signs.

Marathon Food Center will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on December 17, 2016. Montgomery County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WHIO CBS Channel 7 in Dayton. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Congratulations Marathon Food Center!
