Jack’s Carryout is February 6, 2017 Retailer-of-the-Week

img_1603FOSTORIA, OH – They say familiarity breeds contentment. Jack’s Carryout at 201 E. Tiffin Street is a neighborhood store where they see their loyal happy customers daily. They know most of them. Owners Kent and Leslie Brewer provide an atmosphere that is comfortable and enjoyable. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Jack’s Carryout as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of February 6, 2017.

“You have to know your customers and get to know their likes and habits. Knowing what they like to play makes it easier to suggest new games and possibly more tickets to purchase,” Kent said. He describes the store as a friendly neighborhood store where they know most all the customers.

Two years ago, the Brewers bought this location. Today, they display all signage, have a dedicated Lottery play area, and run monthly second-chance drawings using non-winning tickets. New games are put out immediately and employees familiarize themselves with them because knowing how they are played helps in making informed suggestive sales that are tailored to the customer.

The owners say their business is growing. Jack’s Carryout carries 36 instant games with a weekly sales average of $5,300 for instant and on-line games.

Jack’s Carryout will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on February 11. Seneca County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WTVG ABC Channel 13 in Toledo. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Congratulations Jack’s Carryout!
