Powell Marathon is February 27, 2017 Retailer-of-the-Week

151POWELL, OH – Focusing always on customer satisfaction, Omar Faleh, owner of Powell Marathon, at 3446 O’Connell Street makes the lottery fun and exciting. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Powell Marathon as Retailer -of-the-Week for the week of February 27, 2017.

Faleh says they have created a family atmosphere, engaging in conversations that all can talk about, and it keeps customers coming back. Powell Marathon has very big displays that can’t be missed, will cash all winning tickets and keeps lottery bins full. They post signs for upcoming games and promote new games and old games by explaining the way they are played and the odds of winning.

“I’ve been in this business for ten years and I encourage people to try their luck and explain that the loss of a dollar won’t be in vain when it helps in other state services,” Faleh said.

Lottery sales representative Kathleen Kizer said Powell Marathon makes new game activation a priority. She added that they welcomed the Salesmaker enhancements which resulted in a 23 percent sales increase sales in 2016. The business carries 48 instant games over the counter and has a weekly sales average of $12,019 for online and instant games.

Powell Marathon will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on March 4. Delaware County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WTTE FOX-Channel 28 or WSYX ABC-Channel 6 in Columbus. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
