It’s the final Wednesday in March and Ohioans look forward to more sunshine in the days ahead. Of course, the sun has already shined on the following Lottery players. They won prizes playing Ohio Lottery games.
Hanan Farraj of North Olmsted was a big winner in the Ohio Lottery’s EZPLAY Twenty 20’s game. Farraj won $533,225 on March 15, 2017. He receives $378,589 after mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 29 percent.
Johnathan Smith won a lot of green. Smith, of Cuyahoga Falls, won $200,000 in the top- prize drawing for the instant game, $200,000 Match. The drawing was held February 27, 2017 at Lottery headquarters. He was one of 19 finalists in the drawing. After taxes he receives $142,000. He’s paying off his student loans, helping his family and saving some of the windfall. Rite Aid in Cuyahoga Falls receives a $2,000 agent bonus for selling the qualifying ticket.
Gloria Davis of East Cleveland won $300,000 in the top prize drawing for the Lotta Bucks instant game. She was one of 17 finalists in the drawing. After taxes, she receives $213,000, and has no definitive plans, but a summer vacation to Jamaica is pending. Davis bought her ticket from Phil’s Convenience Store in Bedford. Phil’s receives a $3,000 agent bonus for selling the qualifying winning ticket.
Dale Blankenship of Cincinnati won $193,500 in the March 20, 2017, Rolling Cash 5 drawing, holding one of two jackpot-winning tickets for that drawing. He bought the manual pick ticket from Reading Drive Thru in Reading, Ohio. The other jackpot-winning ticket was a manual pick, purchased at Hilton Food Mart in Fostoria. That ticket has not been claimed. Both retailers receive a $500 sales bonus.
Richard McCourt of Elyria said yes to the Power Play number on his March 22, 2017 Powerball ticket. He won $100,000. He had four of the Powerball numbers, which paid $50,000. The Power Play number was 2.
Woodrow Cox of Jackson won $50,417 playing the March 27 midday drawing for Pick 5. Cox plans to pay off his trailer, some medical bills and credit cards. He bought the ticket from Mike’s One Stop in Jackson.
Sakarben Patel of Bedford Heights won $25,000 playing the February 17, Pick 5.
Cynthia Montle-Glass of Guysville won $10,000 on the $5,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular.
James George of Mansfield won $10,000 on Max the Money.
Gerardo Quintanilla of San Antonio, Texas won $20,000 on 40th Anniversary Millions. He bought the ticket from Par Mar #11 in Beverly. He is paying off credit cards and going to visit his grandchildren.
