WHEELERSBURG, OH – Four years ago, Scott and Christi May and Joe and Keri Emnett took over Ridge Mini Mart. Becoming new owners, they inherited the Lottery business. Today, they describe their business as fun, rewarding and customer driven. Ridge Mini Mart is located at 1280 Dogwood Ridge Road. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize them as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of May 8, 2017.
As owners they were flexible and allowed a sales makeover that nearly doubled sales. They have a dedicated lottery play area and they keep the cubes filled at all times because they know what their loyal customers like to play. An MP unit allows customers who are in a hurry to play without waiting. A winning wall showcases new and repeat winners.
“We have a sales team that does a wonderful job getting to know our customers personally,” Christi said.
Lottery sales representative Rebecca Carter said Ridge Mini Mart has embraced the lottery by allowing a sales makeover. She adds that they keep a clean business, treats customers like family, always activates new tickets and has grown significantly over the past few years.
Carrying 57 instant games, the variety keeps Ridge Mini Mart loyal customer coming back. Weekly sales average $12,670 for instant and on-line games.
Ridge Mini Mart will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on May13, 2017. Scioto County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on their local cable station. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
