MAUMEE – Fricker’s #110 is located at 1418 South Reynolds Road and was one of the original retailers when the Ohio Lottery launched KENO. Part of the Fricker’s USA chain, seventeen locations are in Ohio. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Fricker’s #110 as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of June 12, 2017.
Bob McKay manages the business and is pro-lottery with a knowledgeable staff.
McKay says the Lottery business is fun, has increased the sale of food and drink and has created regular customers. The business has two MPs, a Winstation and two MPQKs. The business conducts second-chance Keno parties, the staff will ask patrons if they want their bet slips played and will push the “play it again feature.”
Heather Ludwig, the sales representative, says that sales within the last 12 months are nearing $1 million. “Keno sales are always increasing. McKay always wants the newest instant games in the Winstation and is always open and willing to try something new,” she said. “He was excited to try the MPQK and does extremely well with it.”
McKay advises new retailers, “don’t just put a terminal in a corner and expect to make money, know the product.”
Fricker’s carries 25 instant games. The business has a weekly sales average of $17,116 for online and instant games.
Fricker’s # 110 will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on June 17, 2017. Lucas County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WTVG ABC Channel 13 in Toledo. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
