AMELIA, OHIO – Located at 1723 A East Ohio Pike in Amelia, Ohio Pike Marathon is the top-selling retailer in total sales for their 410 district. Bobby and Harsh Patel own that business, and the Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Ohio Pike Marathon as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of October 30, 2017.
Selling Lottery since 2008, Harsh Patel says honesty is the main and first key to his Lottery business. Having built a strong trust with their customers, it keeps them coming back to the store. Harsh says, “I love knowing my customers’ names and what they buy so we can greet them and have their products ready without having to wait. They know that no matter what happens, we are honest. When they give us $1 extra, we give it back because it is going to become $10. Honesty comes back to you.”
Further promoting the Lottery, Ohio Pike Marathon double-faces all $20 and $30 games and hangs all winning tickets on a winner’s board. They activate new games right away. Recently they sold a $53,000 Rolling Cash 5 winner on 2/7/17 and sold a $250,000 Mega Fortune instant on 3/12/14. The business carries 62 instant games over the counter, with a weekly sales average of $23,000 for instant and online games.
Brian Stout, the lottery sales rep, says this store promotes Lottery very well. They are strong because sales are steady. They are growing and exciting, seeing new customers all the time. When word gets out about selling winners, it spreads and generates excitement.
Ohio Pike Marathon will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on November 4, 2017. Clermont County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WCPO ABC Channel 9 in Cincinnati. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations Ohio Pike Marathon!
