YOUNGSTOWN – Staying on top of what you’re selling, knowing product costs and a smile, is how Liberty Quick Shop promotes the Ohio Lottery. Located at 3007 Belmont Avenue in Youngstown, owner Jamil Niser has been selling Lottery since 1999. The Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Liberty Quick Shop as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of November 27, 2017.
When it comes to selling, Niser says nothing can beat a smile, but still he keeps his Lottery bins full because he says customers love to see the Lottery cases not empty, and knowing the odds of winning is the advice he gives to upcoming retailers.
“Knowing what you are selling is a plus,” he said.
“We always post new and upcoming games and hang our big winners in the store. When there is a new ticket, we assure our customers that they could be a winner because it only takes one,” he said. “We let them know what’s new and hot.”
Lottery sales representative Josh Benson says they actively upsell at each transaction. They embrace Lottery promotions and initiatives.
“They consistently lead in the region in Pick 3 and Pick 4 sales,” he said.
Liberty Quick Shop carries 50 instant games over the counter. Weekly sales average for instant and online games are $29,448.
Liberty Quick Shop will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on December 2, 2017. Mahoning County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WFMJ NBC Channel 21 in Youngstown. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
