EUCLID – Word of mouth is the best way to grow Lottery and business in general. Ajay Patel took over the Euclid Mini Mart business four years ago, building off the winners they already had, including a $50,000 scratch-off winner, and more followed, he said. At 355 East 200th Street in Euclid, the Ohio Lottery is pleased to recognize Euclid Mini Mart as Retailer-of-the-Week for the week of December 11, 2017.
Patel says employees talk to customers, letting them know their ideas count because it is a community store. Euclid Mini Mart has second-chance drawings for non-winning tickets and they give away point-of-purchase materials provided by their sales representative.
“We mention Lottery Rewards and Lucky for Life and when they come in the store, Lottery terminals and winners are right there,” he said. “Giveaways make the customers feel special and winning impacts the whole store with people becoming more generous to others to see if they have a chance to win.”
Describing the business as “entrepreneurial, a one-stop, and experienced, Patel says they are willing to work hard and keep building our customer base. “We provide all Lottery needs along with other products to gain more customer attention, and we understand and comprehend Lottery to gain new customers and expand on the regular customers we have.”
One of the top sellers in the district, Euclid Mini Mart carries 69 instant games and has a weekly sales average of $14,228 for instant and on-line games.
Euclid Mini Mart will be recognized on Cash Explosion®, the Ohio Lottery’s TV game show, on December 9, 2017. Cuyahoga County residents can tune into Cash Explosion® on WEWS ABC Channel 5 in Cleveland. The Cash Explosion show is carried on 13 stations across the state every Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
